Enhanced Space Projects proudly undertook the role of Principal Contractor for EquipFin’s latest office transformation, marking the second successful partnership between the two companies. EquipFin, a prominent firm specialising in equipment finance and mortgage broking, envisioned a workspace that would not only reflect its dynamic and professional services but also enhance the overall efficiency and aesthetic appeal of its operations.
Collaborating closely with MorrisCo Design, ESP embarked on a comprehensive overhaul of the existing office environment. This ambitious project required the complete demolition of the previous fitout and a thorough reworking of the space from the ground up. Under a lump sum contract, ESP expertly navigated the complex compliance and approvals process, ensuring that every aspect of the project adhered to regulatory standards. Their role extended beyond construction; they provided early contractor involvement, which was crucial in addressing and engineering solutions for the complex building services requirements that emerged.
ESP’s involvement included proactive collaboration with both the client and the interior designer. They advised on various elements and engineered innovative solutions to tackle the complexities of the building’s infrastructure. Additionally, ESP took the lead in liaising with building management, streamlining communication, and ensuring that all parties were aligned throughout the project.
The scope of ESP’s responsibilities encompassed managing the coordination between the building’s existing house services contractors and their own network of trusted contacts. This comprehensive approach allowed ESP to oversee all aspects of the fitout, including partitioning, electrical systems, data infrastructure, audiovisual installations, lighting, fire services, mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, joinery, workstations, furniture, acoustic treatments, and ceiling upgrades. Their meticulous oversight ensured that every detail was addressed, from the functional to the aesthetic.
The final office fitout is distinguished by a range of high-quality elements designed to enhance both functionality and visual appeal. Notable features include Acoustic V Groove wall paneling and Laminex Surround Panelling, which contribute to a sophisticated and modern look while also improving acoustic performance. The office is also equipped with a Stacking Sliding Door Track System, perforated ceiling tiles, and lineal custom extruded lighting integrated seamlessly into the ceiling grid. Elegant tiled floors complete the refined and contemporary design.
The layout of the office includes a variety of functional spaces tailored to EquipFin’s needs. These spaces include a sleek and modern kitchen, versatile meeting rooms, a boardroom, private offices, and open-plan workstations. The use of elegant aluminium and glazed partitioning throughout the office not only enhances the visual appeal but also contributes to a warm and welcoming environment.
